Join us THIS FRIDAY for a trip through the history of Cuban music!

Cristóbal Diaz-Ayala is a noted music historian and has dedicated his life to the collection of items related to Cuban and Latin American music. The Diaz-Ayala Cuban and Latin American Popular Music Collections features hundreds of items, including unique cylinders, rare 78rpms, valuable LPs, and many other exceptional materials.

On Friday, July 1st, the "Friday of Musicalia" series will present an opportunity to learn more about this special music collection. Mr. Diaz-Ayala selected ten relevant items from the collection and will use them to illustrate the history of Cuban music. His lecture will also include images, videos, and music from the Sound and Image Department.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be held in Spanish, and will take place at 7:00pm in room 220 of the Green Library.
